4 doors, 4 tires, 4-wheel drive

Two weeks ago we bought a truck and paid cash for it! I can honestly say it was one of the best feelings EVER! It's slightly scary carrying around $5,000 cash for a day, but I didn't lose it or get robbed. :)
Since we sold the Yukon in April we've been truck-less. No way to haul the boat, tow the trailer, or anything big that needed space. So, we perused CarSoup, AutoTrader and craigslist to find another truck. The trouble was that our spending limit was $5,000 and we needed a full size truck. That doesn't leave much with lower miles and a clean body. It was challenging to find a Yukon or Tahoe that wasn't all rusted out and nasty looking and had low miles. UNTIL we found a Tahoe listed on AutoTrader in Winona. It was listed over $5,000, but we told them we won't pay over that amount for everything-- title, tax, license. Done deal. We drove it home that same day.
We also had two other trucks that met our criteria, but they were in Eau Claire and Sioux Falls. Luckily we didn't have to make the trek to those cities the same day.
The truck has been great ever since. It's incredibly clean for a 1997. NO rust anywhere, which made us really happy. We're back to fishing again, and life is good.
